What is Mastery in Throne and Liberty?
Mastery is essentially a system where the more you play the game and use your skills or weapons, you gain experience (XP) that fills up your Mastery levels. Think of it as a progression tree where you unlock nodes as you gain more XP. Previously, the max Mastery level was 13, then it was pushed to 16. Before that, it was around 10 or 11. Each time the max level increases, it becomes more challenging to grind and level up, especially for semi-hardcore or casual players.
Changes to the Mastery System
1. Lower XP Requirements for Early Levels

· Tier Two Dungeons: These dungeons are more challenging and reward 10 points per run, totaling 100,000 Mastery XP. Interestingly, both basic and challenge modes yield the same points.
Weekly Tower Quests
· Weekly Quests: Available from Stoneguard Castle’s Sun Merchant, you can complete 3 quests per week. Each quest gives 28 points, making this a significant source of Mastery XP.
Gate of Infinity (Challenge Mode)
· Gate of Infinity: This mode has always been a great source for leveling up skills and now grants 50 points per run. It’s a weekly activity with leaderboards, making it a competitive and rewarding method to boost your Mastery and skills.
3. Open World Changes
Previously, grinding Mastery in open-world dungeons was tedious and time-consuming. The latest changes have improved this significantly:
· Higher Points Per Mob: Now, mobs grant more points per kill.
· Increased Drop Rates: The drop rates for items have been improved, making the grind less time-consuming. What used to take 6 hours can now be accomplished in 2-3 hours, making the grind more efficient.
