New World - How to Maximize Your Speed and Healing Hybrid Build
Key Build Concept: Speed and Sustain
The core of this build is the Fracture weapon, and I’ve optimized it with Refreshing Rupture so that we can use it more often. By adding this perk, you can throw it out rapidly, applying solid damage while keeping your opponents under pressure.
This build synergizes with my speed build, which emphasizes fast movement, allowing you to chase down enemies and keep them on their toes. We’ll be using Accelerating Lights and Brace to boost our movement speed, enabling us to close gaps quickly and unleash devastating attacks.
Gear and Stats
I’ve crafted and selected gear carefully to maximize both my offensive and defensive capabilities. Here’s the breakdown:
· Fracture Upgrade: As mentioned, I’ve added Refreshing Rupture to Fracture to reduce the cooldown, ensuring I can deal burst damage more often.
· Constitution & Divine Health: I chose Constitution to increase my survivability, especially after Season 7’s nerf to self-healing by 20%. Divine Health helps counter that by boosting my self-healing.
· Sacred Healing Perks: For healing, I’ve opted for Nimble (on accessories) and Fortifying Sacred Ground (on the chest). These perks help with mobility and defense.
· Vicious Blade: To add some extra oomph, Vicious Blade is equipped. This perk boosts my damage and works well with various builds.
Important Stat Spread:
· 200 Focus – This gives a great healing boost.
· 300 Constitution – Ensures you have the durability to survive in the thick of combat.
· 150 Strength – For extra damage output and some physical defense.
Weapon & Perks Breakdown
Void Gauntlet Tree:
The Void Gauntlet is central to this build, with the primary focus on the Oblivion skill for damage and healing. Here’s a quick rundown:
· Overflowing Essence: This perk is crucial for boosting damage as it procs twice—once on your basic attack and once when the debuff hits. This adds substantial damage to your overall output.
· Slowing Orb: This can be a great choice if you’re trying to chase down more mobile enemies, like ranged players. It slows them, giving you more time to close the gap.
· Leeching Blade: Since we're stacking Focus, this perk works wonders with heavy attacks, letting you sustain yourself while dishing out damage.
For the remaining points, you can experiment with Scream or Deadly Reach, depending on your preferences for PvE or PvP. However, Scream is mainly used for melee builds, and in my case, I'm hunting ranged players, so Oblivion is my go-to.
Life Staff Tree:
· Beacon is the star of the show for this build, as it allows you to heal both yourself and your allies while providing an additional Sacred Ground.
· Splash of Light – A single point here lets you apply a quick heal to everyone in range, which can be useful for team play in dungeons or PvP.
· Magnify: In combination with Lights and Brace, this increases your haste, giving you the 10-second cap duration that is essential for maximizing your mobility.
Gameplay Strategy:
Now, onto how you should play this build to get the most out of it.
General Rotation:
The key is to maintain high uptime on Lights and Brace for speed and Fracture for damage.
1. Start by using your healing abilities: Cast Sacred Ground or Beacon (depending on whether you’re solo or with a team) to get the healing ticking.
2. Activate Lights and Brace: This gives you a 10-second speed boost. You want to use this frequently, especially when chasing down enemies or repositioning.
3. Dodge + Heavy Attack Combo: Throw in a dodge roll followed by a heavy attack and then a light attack. This gives you the maximum DPS output.
4. Throw Fracture: Use Fracture for its burst potential, and keep the cooldown short with Refreshing Rupture.
5. Use Oblivion: This is the go-to move when engaging enemies. It deals substantial damage while also healing you. This is especially helpful when you’re hunting down ranged players like muskets or bows.
Repeat this loop for sustained DPS and healing. The key here is to keep moving and using your speed to your advantage.
Adjustments and Perk Swaps:
· Mobility Perks: If you want even more mobility, you can swap out some of your perks for additional Freedom or Nimble to give you more speed or reduce cooldowns.
· Healing Perks: If you want a little more healing, you can experiment with Leeching Blade or Sacred Heals instead of damage-focused perks like Vicious Blade.
In terms of swapping out Beacon for Orb, I’ve tried both and personally prefer Beacon for its utility in longer fights, especially when you have multiple players to heal in 3v3s.
Tips for PvP Success:
· Hunt Ranged Players: This build excels against ranged enemies. Use Fracture and Oblivion to quickly close gaps and eliminate muskets or bows before they can set up their shots.
· Use Slowing Orb to disrupt enemies who are trying to escape. It can also help lock down enemies in 3v3s, especially in the Brimstone arena.
· Adapt to Team Fights: Don’t hesitate to swap between Sacred Ground and Beacon depending on the situation. Both provide solid healing, but Beacon is better for spreading healing across teammates.
Final Thoughts:
This build is incredibly versatile, allowing you to heal, deal damage, and move quickly all at the same time. With the right gear, perks, and strategy, you’ll be able to dominate in 3v3 arenas and PvP.
