Madden - My ideal gameplay overhaul
I can understand that the discussion of the direction of gameplay it's a little subjective there are a variety of concepts, each with different popularity however there's one thing that's for sure that it needs to be improved and it seems that it won't, given the way it was played in beta.
The tackling and the momentumIt's football. Size and weight are important when playing Madden it is not the case. From a defensive point of view, tackling must depend more on your position. In virtually every Madden game I've played, including the quote-unquote "good" ones, tackling never felt extremely fluid. The position of the player isn't a huge factor the way you move, and it doesn't affect any aspect, and size isn't affecting the way you tackle but it feels awkward and unreal.
Take a look at real-life football and observe how, when confronting the ball carrier the defensive player will move his or her feet before lowering their body weight to wrap the ball up. The goal is to stop the ball carrier. However, in games, the emphasis is on getting them onto the ground. Sure , it looks cool however, when it comes down to reality. The reality is that many runs end up where you can't even observe the ball carrier or they're simply stopped.
Controls for passing- my vision for passing controls isn't translating well on paper or in words however I'll try my best. When you're passing in the NFL is a must to be QUICK and the quarterback only has three seconds to get rid of the football. I believe throwing the ball to a receiver must be more about timing rather than any other thing. The icon for the button that appears over the head of the receiver must be able to function as a meter. The button appears greyed out at first, but as you move to the middle the button icon slowly changes color.
More of the button is colored in the better chance of successfully completing the pass. When the buttons are mostly gray rather than affecting an individual receiver it could affect the quarterback's throw and reduce either power, accuracy or the flight path of the ball dependent on the route taken. When a scramble occurs, similar to how a quarterback might get lost in his receivers' tracks, button icons disappear. You'll be able to still throw however, you won't have an ounce of meter.
I believe this is something that makes passing more skill-based for one, it'd require players to study the way defenses against opponents work and also impede deep passes, as there's no time limit to throw, and scrambling won't be as difficult to break. One disadvantage is that the games wouldn't be as thrilling or "exciting" and the ball won't be up in the air as often. It could close the gap between an overall QB, and similar to an 83. Although it would be unfair, I believe that it's a great biproduct. choosing a system that fits the raw talent might provide certain advantages.
Statistics and ratings of playersinstead of a person being an overall flat [X] My ideal football game will have players ranks practice team backup, fringe, elite, starter and franchise Similar to NHL games, however, every player begins the season with a specific overall. The overall would fluctuate on a game-by-game basis as well as during training.
The general idea is to that if a fringe wideout is rated with a score of 75 overall (ratings vary based on the type of player) in every game. If the player is able to get several receptions in the early stages and performs well then he could be average of 86 or 87 in the third quarter. The most important thing is that it's the opposite; when an elite wideout plays through the first half without many targets, their total would drop. What makes them an elite athlete but is the fact that they could be back to 90 or more overall by grabbing a couple of receptions and a few roaring RACs There's the reward of focusing on your top players, but there's only one reward to focus on your role players as well.
That doesn't exist in Madden.
Referring to the player on the fringe, in the event that he had a 1,000 yard season, regardless of whether it was a 7th or 6th round selection, the reality is that he has had a stellar season, and his ranking will increase based on the how well he performed. The system could also be adjusted to suit each job.
Stadium atmospheres - This is something that EA claims to have "implemented" however I believe it would be more effective when you select an audible in a stadium that was extremely loud, regardless of whether you're a either the home team or an away one, players are given an auditory rating. If the rating is less then they are more likely of hearing an audible that is not correct that could result in blocked routes that are not correct as well as incorrect motions, which could lead to improper formation penalties if there are too many players moving at the same time.
On the other hand, on defense, this could cause the secondary to be more prone to give receivers too much space, and for the special team, this could affect the timing of your kicks. This could be a reason to make changes that increase the number of fans in your the spirit of franchises, and by taking a position on that side and making your stadium a less enjoyable to play at. If you decide to build the stadium's dome, it include statistics on things like retention and noise reduction If you're looking for an area that is quiet, it could be achieved.
If you construct an open-air stadium you'll have options to show the entry of wind and snow as well as noise retention. I believe that when you are in franchise mode, if you choose to move to a new location, or expand your existing one, or construct a new stadium for giggles and shits you will get an entire modeling suite that allows you to design your stadium exactly as you would like it to be as well as set up seating and even pick the materials. Much like the asset management that is available within City Skylines on the PC version Cities Skylines.
I have plenty more to say but this is longer than the majority of the articles you'll read. These are just a few suggestions to my perfect NFL game. Feel free to share yours since, after everything, Reddit can be described as a journal of dreams. The only difference is that dream journals don't claim to do something to your mother, shout racist slurs or engage in Genshin Impact.
